A Home from Home is the starting point of a personal project exploring and responding to cultural diversity, on a global and local scale. By drawing on experiences internationally, this project aims to investigate cultural similarities between the people and places that I have visited globally, and also locations that are closer to home. The drive for this is to celebrate different cultural backgrounds, by demonstrating the universal connections between people and places around the world, as the importance of diversity is not always understood. Using photography as a platform, my work aims to allow people to gain a better understanding of the world around them, teaching the importance of empathy, friendship and community.
